What you can expect
If you’re serious about improving your surfing, our Individual Surfing Lessons in Margaret River are the ultimate way to fast-track your progress. Whether you’re a total beginner ready to catch your first wave or an experienced surfer looking to refine technique, you’ll receive one-on-one coaching tailored specifically to your level. With the full attention of your own surf coach, you’ll feel supported and confident every step of the way. All equipment is provided, or you’re welcome to bring your own gear.
Each session is personalised to help you get the most out of your time in the water. Beginners will be introduced to ocean awareness, wave selection, paddling techniques, and the basics of standing up on a board, while more advanced surfers can work on duck diving, positioning, turning and wave reading. From pre-surf briefings to post-surf feedback, your coach is right there to guide, correct and encourage. For those wanting to go even deeper, we offer multi-day packages and high-performance coaching sessions, perfect for mastering local breaks and levelling up your surfing game.

What to bring
You don’t really need to bring much to your surf lesson, but try to remember the following items:
- Swimwear
- Towel
- Sunscreen
- Drinking water
- Beach footwear in summer if the ground is hot
- Your booking voucher (printed or on your phone)
- A HUGE smile!!….

We will provide you with the following when you arrive for your lesson:
- Surfboard
- Wetsuit
- Rash Shirt
- Sunscreen (if you do not have your own)
- Professional Instruction from our experienced surf coaches
Meeting Location
Lessons are generally held at Redgate Beach, however if conditions aren't suitable we will notify you of the best location for the conditions on the day. Please meet at the Margaret River Surf School truck in the Redgate Beach Car Park 10 minutes prior to your lesson commencing. Directions; From Margaret River town head South on Bussell Hwy. At the roundabout turn right onto Boodjidup Rd and continue to the end. Turn left onto Caves Rd. In 2kms turn right onto Redgate Rd and continue all the way to the beach car park.
